Planned Giving Thanking United Church Women Endowed Fund

Legacy

Support the vital ministries and mission of the United Church Women. Established in 2012 to honour the UCW’s 50th anniversary, the UCW Endowed Fund is an accumulation of enduring gifts, whether they are immediate gifts from individuals or UCW groups or legacy gifts. As with any endowment, the United Church Foundation holds the principal or capital amount so it will generate income in perpetuity. Annually, and with the blessing and support of the UCW, the national UCW executive determines to which Mission & Service–related program or ministry the grant from the fund is directed. If no direction is offered in a given year, the grant is made to Mission & Service. There is no expectation that UCW groups actively fundraise for this endowed fund, but we want to make United Church people aware of it and the opportunities it presents. Immediate gifts of any amount—cash or securities—are encouraged and welcomed. With the donor’s permission, the church will recognize gifts of $5,000 or more by having the donor’s name associated with the UCW Endowed Fund.
