Video is an inspiring way to visit Mission & Service partners and to meet people impacted by our giving. It is a tool that can be used during your gathering time or worship, as part of a program, and with all ages. Giving program videos and Minutes for Mission story videos are available at www.stewardshiptoolkit.ca.

This extensive congregational giving program was mailed to every congregation in April with supporting materials online, including programs for Sunday school, youth, adults, and UCW. Did you know that, according to the United Church Year Book, across Canada only 42 percent of the people who give to their local community of faith also give to Mission & Service? Just think of the potential to increase this! The Each One, Ask One campaign is an invitation for every community of faith to increase the number of givers for Mission & Service and to increase Mission & Service giving generally. More a set of guidelines than a job description, this document describes this ministry of inspiring, asking, and thanking for Mission & Service giving and working with other leaders in the church. Setting a goal gives us something to work toward and celebrate. Each pastoral charge is invited to set their Mission & Service giving and participation goals every year. In December 2017 you will receive the goal-setting mailing for response March 2018. At that time, please consider your 2018 Mission & Service giving goals. Use the goal-setting form with details for completing it online, and a thermometer poster to track your success—for both your local ministry budget AND your Mission & Service giving goal!

Thank you for ensuring all gifts for Mission & Service are acknowledged, celebrated, and transferred regularly. Sending your church’s gifts for Mission & Service regularly can be done by cheque in the mail, pre-authorized remittance (PAR), or bank transfer. The form is customized for each pastoral charge.
