To: the office of Administrator of the United States Pirate Party CC: Records office CC: Head, State Advisory Board for distribution to all State parties Date: November 28 2010 Subject : Resignation of position I Andrew Norton, do formally submit my resignation from the position of Legal Officer of the United States Pirate Party. I am willing to work through to the end of the month, but if you wish a more immediate time I am prepared to accept it. My reasons are two-fold. 1)the many violations of the party Constitution by the party's Operations officer, along with his other assorted actions. 2)The inability of the Administrator to make timely decisions or actions concerning the actions of the Operations Officer, permitting him the ability to perform more such acts. As such, the party is clearly unable to function in any sort of effective manner, and attempting to spend more time fighting the counterproductive actions of the operations officer is a complete and utter waste of time. Further, certain actions by said officer may render the party liable for criminal investigation and I strongly wish to distance myself from such actions, in a way you have found yourself unable to do for the party. It is not a decision I make lightly, as I have put a significant amount of time into the party over the years, restarting the party after it had collapsed twice. I am unwilling to be a party to it's third collapse, nor do I have the desire any more to rebuild it again. Yours, Andrew Norton
