The Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club has a strong working relationship with the Toowoomba Regional council, both with the Parks and Recreation teams and this is paramount to the high standard of trails in Jubilee Park.

Since the club’s inception the membership has grown to over 100 members and the trail network totals over 14km’s. The club hosts regular events and welcomes new members.

In 2006 the club won the Queensland Outdoor and Recreation award in the category of best recreation organisation. The club was also nominated during this year as the Darling Downs Sports club of the year, although it did not win. In the following year the club won the Association of the Year at the 2007 Darling Downs Sports Awards.

Bike club was formed and incorporated in 2005 largely through the efforts of Greg Geldard who was able to secure land access through successful negotiations with the Toowoomba Regional Council. The club was lucky enough to be granted permission to build trails in Jubilee Park though a deed signed with council who were exceptionally supportive in our quest for trail access. Work commenced immediately on the Downhill track ‘McKenzie Frenzie’ and Cross Country Trail “RollerCat” which was aptly named after two Bobcats were rolled onto their side during construction. After almost 12 months of weekend construction by volunteers the club had developed a 1.5km downhill track and around 3.8km of cross country track.

Most tracks are signed. However, getting the most out of the park is easiest if you are riding with someone who knows the park. The TMBC run regular group rides which assist and introduce new members to the tracks and the friendly mountain biking community.
