Bridgeview Condominiums HOA Board of Directors Meeting Procedures for Presenting Comments during Open Forum Maximum of two minutes per speaker An HOA is not bound by the “Open Meeting Act.” Similarly, an HOA BOD is not required to entertain owner comments in an open forum. However, your HOA BOD considers an Open Forum important to ALL OWNERS to afford an opportunity to speak during the BODs meetings. We ask that you address the items on the agenda; but you may address your BOD on any issue you deem important to our HOA. Your BOD has set reasonable limits on the length of presentations, and it will not unfairly discriminate among speakers for or against a particular point of view. Please see Open Forum Guidelines below. If you would like to address your HOA BOD during the “Open Forum” portion of this meeting, please prepare and submit this form to the BOD Secretary in person or by email before the meeting is called to order. Open Forum Guidelines Your HOA BOD, is not required to comment, answer questions or take action on any item during the Open Forum.
You may speak on any subject of interest to you during “Open Forum”, whether the subject is on the agenda or not. Decorum, to include courtesy and respect, is expected.
Your HOA BOD has set a two (2) minute limit per speaker and a limit of twelve (12) minutes for the Open Forum. You are urged to present written documents to your BOD for consideration as the BOD desires. Your BOD will not take notes during Open Forum.
Your HOA BOD reserves the right to deny any request that it deems inflammatory or that may be construed as a personal affront.
