Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the Cadre of Telecom Technician (Erstwhile Telecom Mechanic) under 50% quota to be held on 09/07/2017 - Notification of Exam reg.

Sir, In reference to the aforesaid context, it is for the inform of all concerned that with the approval of the Competent Authority, it has been decided to hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the Cadre of Telecom Technician (Erstwhile Telecom Mechanic) as per the provision in the Recruitment Rule of Telecom Technician (Erstwhile Telecom Mechanic) circulated vide BSNL Corporate Office Letter No. 250-74/2001-PERS-III dated 20.02.2002 (Annexure-A) in order to fill up the available circle-wise vacancies. The tentative date to hold the Exam is on 09/07/2017 (MODEL NOTIFICATION ENCLOSED). The Telecom Technician (Erstwhile Telecom Mechanic) is a SSA cadre and as such the Exam has to be got conducted at Circle level as per available vacancy. It is also intimated since the cadre may not conversant fairly with the application of computers hence a written Exam to be conducted at Circle level by the Circle on the above mentioned date. The necessary model Notification has been frame and is attached herewith the relevant Annexure for publicity & incorporation of the same by the concerned Circles accordingly. Further, it has been decided that concerned circles shall arrange/collect at least two sets of questions for the Exam as per the schemes/syllabus from any Circles (other than own), in utmost secret & time bound manner. The approached question setters shall cooperate/ submit the requisite question & answer, as applicable, in sealed/signed/dated external soft copy mode. The received question shall be opened by the nominated Exam Coordinator of the Circle only two days prior to the day of Exam for doing the needful. The answer sheet of containing 8 (eight) pages (both side duly numbered/under seal/stamp) to arranged by the Circle. Any other factors/option, not mentioned herein, that may be useful in conducting the written examination smoothly, may be incorporated at Circle Level. This is issued with approval of the Competent Authority.
