Summer School
Street theatre summer school for students and artists of any discipline to experience art in public spaces From 27. June to 6. July 2015 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) Spend 10 days exploring transferable tools to perform, interact, produce and present your work in the public spaces
Morning body workouts • Movement research, space awareness, individual and group awareness, contact improvisation from soft-touch to gravity and group dynamics. Trained by dancer and coreographer Vita Osojnik (SI). Every morning first six days. Performer • Performative tools, improvisation, rhythm and reaction skills, communication among performers and interaction with the audience, Conducted by director, actor and composer Craig Weston (B). First three days. Public space • Research of public space and its artistic potencials, exploring the symbols and action of everyday life to integrate into street performance/art. Led by lecturers of the Street arts BA Hons in the University of Winchester, Sally Mann and John Lee (GB). Next three days. Creation • An interactive group performance based around a small rotating cinema 1. Participants will be challenged to work as a group, contribute their own artistic skills & vision, create characters & routines and animate the public. “P A N” will be facilitated & directed by circus, stage & street performer Tom Greder (AUS/CH) and street theatre group Kud Ljud (SI).

The cinema screen is a window to the outside world and as “P A N” starts to rotate 360° around the space, performers involve the unsuspecting public to create interactive, site specific routines, scenarios and interventions which turn reality into fantasy.
