Trinomials ­ always factor into two binomials Use either guess and check or error/reducing method • If there is a leading coefficient on the x2 term, multiply it with the  constant term • Then determine what multiplies to the last term and adds to the middle  term • Reduce any factors Examples: 1.  3x2 + 10x + 8
