RDA FULL IMPLEMENTATION FOR MONOGRAPHS ON FEBRUARY 1,2015

We are pleased to announce that starting February 1, 20X5, all libraries can now use the Resource Description and Access (RDA) on their descriptive cataloging. The lJniversity of the phi'ippines wiJl move forward with the full implementation of RDA for monographs.

Attached is the revised copy of the Un:versity of the Philippines RDA Core Elements and policv Statement (UPRCEPS) as of January 2015. Please refer to the required MARC tags and ask your respectjve iLib Adminirjtrators to include them in the iLib dat.base. The UPRCEPS for N4onographs,documentation, training and olher related materials can be viewed or downloaded from the Cataloging Resources and Cataloging Workshop Sedions of the Unjversity of the Philippines Diliman University Library Website, htto://www.malnlib.!pd.edu.ph/?o=cataloeinsie5o!rces workshop.

The RDA Commitiee for Special Materials is currently working on the IJPRCEPS for Special Materiah (video recording, sound recording, electronic resources, music scores, etc,) and again we will need sufficjent time to get everyone trained before the year ends. For the meantlme, catalog all non book materlals using AACR2.
