Final Consideration: We humans often like to look at the negative side of things, where we could have improved more, as opposed to where we did. Many – even most – of us are natural perfectionists, and therefore focus on the imperfections to try to weed them out. Time management is an “elusive skill”, because it can’t be perfected. However, if you went through all ten weeks of this commitment, and stuck by it, you should praise yourself for the persistence you’ve displayed. It goes without saying you made some substantial improvements in managing your time by trying to reduce the impact these unimportant areas had on your life. So, keep working toward excellence, but always have the perspective to see how far you’ve come already. That knowledge will propel you to further greatness.
