Children’s Market Valet Tagging Service Mom, you’ve told us you’d love to sell your kids’ things, but you just don’t have time to tag and organize or that consigning everything seems too overwhelming. We are excited to offer a tagging service for our upcoming sale! Here are the basics:     

 

Space for this service is on a first come, first served basis. We will only accept a limited number of consignors for it. We must have all of your items by August 16th if you want us to do the tagging for you. Spaces for this service are limited to the first 16 people who sign up. A $12.50 Registration Fee will be deducted from your proceeds check after the sale. ($9.00 seller fee, $3.50 for supplies.) You’ll provide your own hangers. We may have donated hangers available. If your tagger has to buy hangers, their cost will be deducted from your check. All other supplies to prepare your items are included in the additional $3.50 added to your basic consignor fee of $9.00. You will receive 50% of your sales. Your tagger will receive 25% with the church keeping our standard 25%. You will be eligible to shop with consignors at the preview sale on Sept. 12 at 5:30 pm. If you volunteer a minimum of 4 hours, you’ll be able to shop at the volunteer sale at 3 pm.

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity and clean out your kids' closets, toys boxes and baby gear, please email us at [email protected]. Spaces are limited, so do not delay in contacting us. How does it work? We’ve selected some of our top volunteers for this service. The moms who are tagging items have great experience with selling and are some of our most successful and experienced consignors. They will do a great job getting your things priced and tagged. Contact your tagger to set up a time and location to meet. Bring your freshly washed and clean consignment items to us and our taggers will do the rest. Items must be seasonally appropriate and on our accepted items list. Everything should be put in boxes. Cardboard boxes are preferred because these boxes will not be returned to you. Do not use garbage bags. We will not iron your clothing, so please be sure they are neatly folded. If you would like clothing sold in outfits or sets, please group them together. All non-clothing items must be clean, include all parts and have working batteries. Please check to make sure you are not sending any items that are stained, out of date, smell, have pet hair or are damaged. Any items of this type will be automatically donated. When you meet your tagger, she will take a brief look through your inventory to check the quality of your items and will then review a pricing strategy with you. If there are any special items in your inventory that you would like to price higher, make sure to let your Tagger know at the time of your appointment. Taggers

will use their best discretion based on the pricing strategy you discuss. (Most sellers are successful when following our pricing guide.) Once your items are entered, you will be able to go in and adjust any prices you prefer to change. The Final Details: 1. Items must meet the acceptable Items list in our seller packet. 2. Items must meet current requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and may not be included on any list of recalled items. 3. To utilize the tagging service, consignor must include a minimum of 30 acceptable items. Children’s Market accepts a total of 200 tagged items per consignor. You can bring more than this number to be tagged. We may group items as a set to increase the likelihood of selling (basic t-shirts, small toys, onesies, etc.). Also, some items may be rejected, so having a little extra is okay. 4. A Children’s Market tagger will enter and price all items in our online system for you. When they are finished, you will be notified by email or text that your inventory is ready to be reviewed for price approval. Make any changes you desire to your inventory and let the tagger know in a response email within 48 hours. Once approval is received, tags will be printed. At that time, all prices will be final and cannot be changed. The default password for anyone using the tagging service will be market. After your tagger is finished with your account, you can go back and change your password. 5. All valet inventory items will automatically be marked as discount. 6. Consignor has the option to donate all unsold items after the sale or pick up any unsold items. 7. We cannot guarantee that all items will sell but will price items fairly and competitively for our market. 8. If you are not donating items after the sale, any unsold items can be picked up at the church on the Saturday after the sale between 11:00 am and 12:15 pm 9. If you have further questions, please contact us at [email protected]. Item Limits: Infant Clothing: We will only accept 25 tagged items per size in sizes Newborn through 24 months. You have the option to group items together (i.e. 2 dresses, 2 outfits, 2 tops/one bottom, etc.) and tag them as one UNIT, but only 25 units per size will be accepted. If you are consigning in these sizes, please keep in mind that our taggers may group items together. Basic brands, like those from Wal-Mart, are likely to be bundled to increase the likelihood that they will sell. Shoes: Up to 20 pairs per gender of children's shoes in excellent condition. We will not accept adult clothing, VHS tapes, car seats, bath tub rings or any type of bedding other than crib sheets and receiving blankets.
