BOOTH SPACE GUIDELINES & REGULATIONS Thank you for participating in the 15th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. We welcome non-profit information tables & vendors selling food and other items that will add to the success of the event. To ensure an enjoyable day, please follow the guidelines and regulations listed below: - Participants should show support for the event’s mission to raise awareness about sexual assault and gender violence. - Each participant will be assigned a space based on the date payment is received. Participants will be directed to their space on the morning of the event . - The City of San Luis Obispo requires a Vendor Fee of $20 for anyone selling items at the event, in addition to the Walk A Mile in Her Shoes fee. If you already have a business license with the City of San Luis Obispo, please enclose a copy with your application and the fee will be waived. - Walk a Mile in Her Shoes cannot grant exclusive rights limiting the selling of merchandise or food items. - All participants must provide their own tables, chair, canopy, etc. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is not responsible for providing any of these items. - Participants are responsible for their own insurance. - No alcohol sales are permitted under this application. - All Booth Space Applications are subject to approval by the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Committee. - There will be NO REFUNDS once your application has been received and accepted for the event. Event will be held, rain or shine, so please be prepared! - Set-up/Take-down Timing: San Luis Obispo Setup start at 8:30am and must be completed by 9:30am. No vehicles will be permitted on Mission Plaza past 9:30am. Take-down begins promptly at 2pm and must be completed by 2:30pm. No vehicles will be allowed onto Mission Plaza until 2pm or later. Arroyo Grande/Paso Robles Setup start at 9:30am and must be completed by 10:30am. Take-down begins promptly at 1pm and must be completed by 1:30pm. FOOD BOOTHS: All participants must adhere to county Health Department Regulations in preparation and serving food. There is no non-profit discount for participants wishing to sell food. Any participant that will be cooking or producing heat must supply a fire extinguisher for the booth space (code 2A-10BC). A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks. * Electrical hook-ups are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT Please initial each of the following: I hereby agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, RISE, the City of San Luis Obispo, the City of Paso Robles and any sponsors, businesses, individuals or organizations associated with this event from any loss, damage or injury which may occur in connection with my participation in this event, and/or that of my staff and volunteers. I have read, and agree to abide by all rules, either verbal or written, as outlined by the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes committee. I understand that failure to do so will result in expulsion from the event without refund of my fees and will, additionally, result in being barred from future Walk A Mile in Her Shoes events. I hereby authorize Walk A Mile in Her Shoes to use any pictures, audio or visual recording depicting any person from my business or organization for promotional publication.
