Vermilion began as a restaurant and bar in 2007. It was designed by Miguel Cancio Martins (Buddha Bar, Paris) and has become synonymous for it’s food, style and luxurious atmosphere. Whether you are looking to host a small intimate family gathering, or a large celebration for up to 800 guests, you can celebrate in our beautiful spaces, with professional staff on-hand and bespoke menus created at one of Manchester's most reputable kitchens. A full entertainment and hospitality complex spread over six spaces and three floors.

Perfect for every occasion

A shade more exclusive The three-storey labyrinth includes a Thai and Indian Restaurant which includes the famous Maharaja Room (Private Dining for up to 18 guests), Cinnabar (Cocktail Lounge and Club), complete with DJs, an extensive wine, cocktail and spirit list, private booths and unique lounge beds (Cocoons). Our further event spaces include, The Abacus Gallery, The Alan Turing Room and The Grand Suite - a capacity totaling 1300 with the largest room accommodating 800 (9128 sq ft). No detail has been overlooked – our kitchens have been designed by the same team who created the kitchens at Buckingham Palace. The lighting is from the team behind Hakkasan in London, and the audio-visual equipment has been installed by the people who handle Manchester’s Albert Hall sound and vision system. Our event spaces offer luxury and high-end attention to detail, such as elaborate flower arrangements, shimmering chandeliers and a curated collection of historical artefacts, sourced from around the world.

These wonderful spaces have each been individually designed to accommodate the demands for small to large scale events, and are ideal for a variety of occasions such as weddings, conferences, corporate dinners, business network events, charity events, award ceremonies, fashion shows, press and product launches, exhibitions... Our spaces and events are managed by a team of professionals, with vast experience from a variety of Michelin star restaurants and 5 star hotels from around the world. Our very own Michelin trained executive Chef is experienced in fine dining, Pan-Asian and European cuisine. You can be sure to impress your guests as you celebrate in style with our beautiful spaces - all under one roof. Modern meets exotic

1 The Grand Suite A beautiful, architecturally designed space boasting a mix of bespoke modern and antique furnishings that have been sourced from around the world. This expansive, open suite has no pillars and double height ceilings, and features elegant chandeliers, bespoke design carpeting, personalised lighting, a green room, a twin bar lounge with LCD monitor, and a self contained full-equipped kitchen. The Grand Suite audio infrastructure was created by the designers of Manchester’s Albert Hall. This high calibre audio-visual equipment comprises ceiling HD projectors with large screens, a grid of hooks for installing extra lighting, sound rigs, a stage and high-tech microphone system. The suite also provides designated easy access for third party suppliers. Capacity 800.

An Asian odyssey

2 The Restaurant The lift and stairs lead up to the bar and adjoining restaurant, opening into a zig-zag of angular, mirrored, copper tables for bar grazers. In this opulent restaurant, one is immediately submerged into an enchanting Eastern atmosphere complete with Asian antiques and opulent architecture. The restaurant is available to hire subject to availability Capacity 200.

Intimate dining

3 The Maharaja Room This one particular table stands out from all the rest. Enclosed within feature black grid partitions, the beautiful handmade ornate circular table with its rotating centre, plays host to the finest cuisine and private dining. Ideal for intimate dining. Capacity 18.

Comfort and style

4 Cinnabar The large space of Cinnabar is tiered with stylish low tables, chairs, bar stools, a DJ booth, VIP section, projector with screen and it’s iconic Cocoons. The semi-private booth structures, enable customers to recline in the utmost comfort and style. Cinnabar is ideal for events that require a chic touch, from drink receptions to networking events and after parties. Cinnabar is available for hire subject to availability. Capacity 200 seating / 500 standing. Licensed until 2am.

Modern versatility

5 The Alan Turing Room Built in 2017, this modern event space, offers greater versatility, with natural light, a full integrated audio and visual system, including a microphone system, bespoke lighting system, HD projector and screen. This modern space also benefits from hosting it’s own twined bar lounge. Capacity 200.

Eastern elegance

6 The Abacus Gallery The Abacus Gallery is a self contained catering suite with it’s own bar and audio / visual system. The gallery continues the Eastern elegance of Vermilion’s design, with a feature wall decorated with Abacuses, a luxury hardwood floor and soft lighting. Capacity 100.
