No.of vacancies : Anticipated Vacancies The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted above and the vacancies that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. 5

Qualifications: (1) Masters Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record. (2) Must have passed a comprehensive test in the subject concerned specifically conducted for the purpose by U.G.C or any agency duly constituted by the state those Government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.

: Age 22-40 (Candidates born between 02.01.1972 and 01.01.1990(both dates included) are eligible to apply) (a) For OBC candidates 22-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1969 and 01.01.1990(both dates included) are eligible to apply. (b) For SC/ST- candidates 22-45 Only candidates born between 02.01.1967 and 01.01.1990(both dates included) are eligible to apply. Note:-1) The upper age limit prescribed shall be raised by 5 years in the case of 'OX' candidates who were converted to christianity from the adults members of 'SC' community and their children. For conditions regarding other age relaxations please see para 2 of the General Conditions except Para 2(i) . Note:-2) The above concessions in upper age limits are available subject to the conditions that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years.

For SC/ST candidates minimum 50% marks for masters's Degree shall be sufficient (GO(MS) No: 2/07/H.Edn Dated 04.01.07) For 'PhD' holders who have passed master's Degree prior to 19/09/1991, 50% marks for masters Degree shall be sufficient. (GO(MS) No: 2/07/H.Edn. Dated 4/1/2007) Candidates who have obtained 'PhD' Degree in the subject concerned or have passed M.phil Degree in the subject concerned by 31/12/1993 are exempted from passing the NET examination (GO(MS) No: 86/07/H.Edn Dated 19/6/07, GO (P) No.123/02/H.Edn dated 17/9/2002) For recruitment to various posts under these rules, Degrees awarded by the

universities recognised by the U.G.C alone shall be considered. 8.
