The driver’s airbag module in the subject vehicles contains electrical connections might have incompletely electrical connection when using for a certain period. If connectivity is lost, the air bag warning lamp will illuminate. Hence, Toyota sends this owner notification advising owner to make an appointment with Toyota dealers to have the spiral cable inspection or replacement.
What will Toyota do? Any Toyota dealer will inspect the spiral cable and replace it to new one if necessary at NO COST to you. What should you do? Contact your Toyota dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment to have the repair performed. The labor time for the repair is approximately 1 hour. However, depending upon the dealer’s work schedule, it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer period of time. Please present this notice to the dealer when you bring the vehicle in for your service appointment.
