Preamble
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Charotar University of Science & Technology (CHARUSAT) is established under the Gujarat Act No. 8 of 2009, Government of Gujarat. A remarkable range of programmes offered at CHARUSAT are paired with an extraordinary breadth of extracurricular activities and opportunities for research, independent study and community service. CHARUSAT offers 39 different UG, PG, MPhil & PhD programs with 5000 students enrolled in 9 different institutes. The R&D Centre conducts research in the emerging sciences like Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, etc. The Charotar Healthcare and Research Foundation provides courses in Nursing, Physiotherapy and caters to health care services.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The CHAMOS Matrusanstha Department of Mechanical Engineering offers undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, postgraduate programme of Master of Technology (M. Tech. CAD/CAM) and Ph.D programs in Mechanical Engineering. The department is equipped with sophisticated laboratory equipments in various areas like Tribology, Reverse Engineering, Unconventional Machining, Control & Automation, Machine Vision etc. The department is also equipped with licensed software's like LABVIEW 2009, Hyper works 11.0, Autodesk , ANSYS, MINITAB and XOR.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Virtual instrumentation has changed the way engineers and scientists measure and automate the world around them. Today, virtual instrumentation is used by engineers in numerous applications around the world, resulting in shorter lead times, higher-quality products, and lower costs. The building blocks of virtual instrumentation include powerfully productive software, modular measurement hardware, and commercial technologies such as the personal computer and the internet. Engineers now can quickly and cost-effectively create a system equipped with analysis software and a single measurement device that has the capabilities of a multitude of instruments.
