VOX MUSICA CHORAL SOCIETY Are you passionate about singing? Are you a member of a choir or can sing in tune in the shower! We welcome you to come and have fun with choral music and join the Lethbridge Vox Musica Choir.



WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

WHAT DO YOU GET AS A MEMBER?

Voice Development. You will enjoy 40 or more hours of choral practice evolving vocal skill while rehearsing in the acoustically outstanding Southminster Church under the guidance of Glenn Klassen, director of the Lethbridge Symphony.

Musical Experiences and Opportunities to Perform

with other music ensembles like school, community and University choirs; the Lethbridge Community Band Society; University of Lethbridge Percussion; Troyanda (Lethbridge’s Ukrainian Dance Ensemble); Sinfonia Allegro; the University of Lethbridge Opera Workshop; and, the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra.

Repertoire Development. We sing classical pieces, opera, seasonal works, some folk, pop, musical, and movie music. This provides a valuable, rich and challenging repertoire development for singers, especially when supported by the varied musical experiences.

Transition into Large Ensemble Choral Music. All of these experiences, with the largest choral group in Southern Alberta, can provide you with a fun and friendly transition into large ensemble choral performances as a satisfying life-long pursuit or in preparation for further study for career related options.

Mentorship and Support. You will have the support of experienced Vox singers in your sectional group. We all help each other. If you bring your like-minded friends with you – you will have even more social support.



COME to our first rehearsal each January or September – 7:00 p.m. at Southminster Church.

Next session starts ** January 2, 2018 **

Pay your membership fee of $135 per semester. Attend all rehearsals (Tuesdays from 7:00-9:30 p.m. at Southminster Church) and dress rehearsal/performances.
