Reasons for recommendation of this Project
Around 600 students studying in the government school are facing drinking water as their primary problem. As there is no running water or a working borewell, EWB india is willing to help the children here at rasoolpura by providing them with a sump to store water. SECTION 2 : PROJECT DETAILS 2.1
Project Description
Govt. High school has got over 600 students. Out of which most of them come from a financially poor background. Although all of them have basic amenities like food, clothing and shelter they are facing storing of drinking water as the major problem. The mission of the project is to provide the school with an underground sump, which can store water up to 5000 liters. This water can be used for drinking and sanitation. This project will address all the water storage problems the school is facing.

2.1.2 Project Summary :- A sump which can hold upto 5000 liters of water is being constructed within the school premises. This water can be used for drinking and sanitation purposes. We the students of EWB MJCET would abide the rules of EWB India and stick to the project from inception to completion. 2.1.3 Affected Population:- Around 600 students from govt high school at Rasoolpura will be benefitted through this project.

2.1.4 Project Goals:The goal of this project is to provide water to the students of Govt. high school by means of constructing an underground sump of 5000 liters used to store water. Although the school is being provided with 5000Lit/day, they do not have basic storage facility. By undertaking this project we can provide water storage facility to the school and prevent the water from contamination. There are no water rights issues that need to be considered.
2.2 Project Impacts On the completion of this project, the school will have basic water storage facility, easy accessible water for drinking and sanitation purposes. The storage tank will also prevent the water from contamination and also help to store water during summer.

2.3 Beneficiary Group(s) Information for Project 2.3.1 Primary beneficiary of project: Students and staff of govt. high school Rasoolpura. 2.3.2 Beneficiary Information: Most of the students here at govt. school of Rasoolpura come from financially poor backgrounds. These students are from multiethnic communities. 2.3.3 Project Ownership: EWB-MJCET, Bhumi Foundation and Govt. high school of Rasoolpura will hold the ownership of this project. A committee will be established from among these three Organization. Bhumi Foundation will manage and be responsible for the maintenance & repairs. 2.3.4 Project Accessibility: The proposed project will be freely accessible to all persons in the Govt. high school and will it be restricted for use by locals. There will be no fee structure be involved. 2.3.5 Project Sustainability: Govt. high school of Rasoolpura will manage and be responsible for the maintenance & repairs. 2.3.6

2.3.6 Project Financials: The Rotary club of Hyderabad Airport has taken divine responsibility to fund the project and getting a smile on all the 600 students and staff of the school. The beneficiary i.e. govt. high school will also be funding some part of the project. EWB-MJCET and Bhumi Foundation will take care of the supervision of the project. 2.3.7 Supervision and monitoring is expected from EWB – India.
