Why our Charter school is so vital in Anaheim Hills? Listed below are some examples of what El Rancho as a charter school offers; which would not be possible as a regular district school: 1. Students in some of the best elementary schools in Orange County have the opportunity to be provided with excellence in their next level of education and enjoy the best middle school experience. 2. Parents and taxpayers can see their tax dollars visibly and actively working directly for their child's benefit. 3. Consistently offer (never suspending or eliminating) a full array of electives to meet any student's interest and even spark new ones. Including award winning music program consisting of band, orchestra, strings, guitar and percussion. Award winning visual arts and technology courses. County revered musical theatre program and funding of all performing arts programs. One of the only middle schools providing Industrial Arts, Culinary Arts and Home Economics. 4. Offer flexible scheduling to meet the many diverse needs of our students. 5. Make good use of State funding to offer extra support classes, remediation courses, tutorial, intervention classes and a pleasant and safe environment to even just get a head start on homework. 6. Cultivates a mathematics program that has been acknowledged by the Rancho Santiago Community College District. 7. Maintains (never suspending or eliminating) an expansive after school sports program that has been complimented and respected by high school coaches. 8. An award winning physical education program. 9. Every day, every year the staff enter the doors with only one goal in mind: "Maximizing every student's learning and personal responsibility". 10. Staff are paid at a higher rate than their district peers which gives them further incentive to work at the highest level for the achievement of the student. 11. Autonomy to hire the best person for the job, regardless of their current pay scale. 12. Direct, onsite curriculum and educational program management made to suit precisely the school's student population. 13. Building new science labs, gymnasium and dance/movement studio/classroom. Using savings and paying for without going to the taxpayers. 14. El Rancho encourages parent involvement with an active PTSA and 3 parent representative seats on their Charter board. 15. El Rancho has an 11 person board that assembles for the sole purpose of El Rancho Charter School students. Whereas OUSD board has 7 members that represent and make decisions for 40+ schools. El Rancho Charter School is our school in our town. It not only serves our children well, but any other child who wishes to enjoy, share, learn and be enriched.

We need your support! Join us in supporting EL RANCHO CHARTER SCHOOL!

WEAR RED! At the OUSD Board meeting Thursday, May 25th at 7:00pm in the Board room. The District office is located at 1401 N. Handy, Orange.

Help us and our community rally together to show the district that We are united in our support of El Rancho. Why point this out? El Rancho Charter School has been renewed for 2017-2022 by operation of law. Unfortunately, OUSD board refuses to acknowledge or accept it. Help us convince OUSD board members that attempting to overturn this is unacceptable to our community and that they should VOTE YES on the agreement of a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday. Please call or email the school for any additional information or questions. (714)997-6238
