Main purpose of the position Are you a talented and enthusiastic professional experienced in managing websites and their contents with experiences working in an international organization? We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, graphic design and site management. The website content manager will be responsible developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editi ng, and proofreading site content, creating and designing visuals, the web content manager will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new development s. The website content manager will also be responsible for crafting site and social media campaigns, email newsletters, and online outreach. The web content manager will work closely with scientific and technical members of our organization, so strong communication skills are needed. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Main responsibilities
Create, develop and manage content for ICARDA’s web presence (requires working with content management software, DRUPAL 7 and wordpress) Coordinate web, online and social media projects across departments Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties Working with a cross-departmental team, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties Write, copyedit, design and proofread all web content Develop and implement strategy and performance metrics to increase website visitors and online uptake of ICARDA’s publications and products Oversee freelancers, including writers, copyeditors, designers and community outreach organizers.

Conceptualize and develop online campaigns with team to engage targeted audience groups for specific issues and events Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and events Assure web-based information is available in an open access repository Track and report on all site and social media metrics Work cooperatively with key team members and scientists.
Education, qualifications and experience
Exceptional communication and organizational skills Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems (Drupal 7, Wordpress) Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Basic Adobe Photoshop skills Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team 3-5 years’ experience managing content and production for high traffic websites Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or a related field Passion, Integrity and Energy!
Terms of appointment, salary and benefits Depending on the availability of funds, the initial contract will be for 3 years, of which the first year will be probationary period. Subsequent employment is determined based on the performance and continued need for the position.
