Mother’s & Father’s Prayer Group ~ meets the 1st Sabbath of each month, following the Church Service. See Nancy Patton or June Paynter for more info. Women's Care and Share Prayer Breakfast ~ is coming up on Sunday, September 18 at 9am here at church in the young adult room upstairs. Teen girls are also welcome. Breakfast is provided! But if you have a favorite or special dish you would like to share, bring it along. Come fellowship and learn about opportunities to serve. We will initiate the Secret Sisters program for those who wish to participate. Church Directory ~ We are happy to have a new Church Directory available either electronically or via hard copy. New Entry System ~ We are happy to announce our new entry system is up and running and card keys have been handed out and programmed. For those of you who currently have church keys, as of September 2, please plan on only using the card key entry as the regular keys will no longer work on the external doors. The regular keys will still open interior doors, as they did previously. If you have any trouble with your card key, feel free to contact Lisa Jennings, Church Secretary, to work out details.
Special Information The Sanctuary renovations are wrapping up, this will impact all Adult SS Classes and the Worship Service. The Children's Ministry will not be impacted and will meet in their usual classrooms. Adult Sabbath School will be conducted in LCA School. Sabbath School will begin at 9am with Opening Remarks then class discussions at 9:30am. All adult classes will dismiss at 10:30am and Children's SS to dismiss at 10:40am to provide parents opportunity to retrieve their children and return to the gym for church. Tony Dahlberg invites you to make a habit of "giving your baggage to the Lord and your plastic bags to us!" Heaven's Bounty ~ The Southern Singles Ministry is operating Heaven’s Bounty, a food pantry in Apison, right in our back yard. The pantry serves 30-40 families each day that it is open. We are in need of volunteers in the following areas: • Putting food away in bins before the clients arrive. (3-4 hour blocks of time, weekly, monthly or whatever works for you) • Picking up food once a week at Food City. (About 2 hours once a week for loading and unloading at the center, any day Sunday –Friday) Southern Singles falls under the Church Ministries Department of the Conference.
