Log in to the system. Click the Career Planning tab, then click Learn About Yourself. Click the Interest Profiler. Start answering the questions (there are 180 in all). It should take about 20 minutes. After answering the questions, Transitions will use the information to create an individual interest profile for you. Review your top interests. Click View Careers. Pick three careers of interest from the list. Discuss these careers with a teacher or parent.

Now that you have chosen three careers, explain why you would like doing this work.

Another way to find careers that match your interests is to learn from your experiences outside of school, like hobbies, volunteer work, clubs or sports. What kind of activities do you really enjoy? Think of other activities in your day-to-day life that you look forward to. List them as keywords (e.g. television, computer, fashion, etc.) below and then search for related careers in the system by typing the keywords, one at a time, in the Search bar at the top right of the page. In your search results, look for items marked in red as “[Career]” items.
