WUOA Board Meeting Via Conference Call Saturday, June 19, 2010 2:00 PM Present: David Smith Charles Snell Laurie Pate Michaux Merhout Laurie Pate, the only returning Board member, called the meeting to order at 2:04 PM, and a quorum was established. Election of Officers After a discussion, the following slate of officers was determined by common consent: President: David Smith Vice President: Charles Snell Secretary: Laurie Pate Treasurer: Michaux Merhout Motion: Made by Laurie Pate Accept the slate of officers as presented. Vote: Yes Unanimous Updating New Board Members Discussion/Decision: David requested that the secretary send the new Board members copies of the minutes from the last several meetings. Laurie stated that other past minutes can be downloaded from the Owners’ Page on our website at condosatwinterplace.com/owners/owners2.html. She also recommended that the Board members download and read the Declarations and By-Laws. Managing Agent Discussion/Decision: Laurie summarized the interviews that took place earlier in the day. She will send Board members the introductory letters and resumes of all candidates who responded to the ads placed for the position, as well as the job description. David stated that the description needs to include preparing the budget and hiring landscapers, as well as other workers. David said that after the Board members review the job description, a discussion will take place via email, to see if they are ‘on the same page’. We will then need to ask for proposals. Charlie suggested we get a list of plumbers and other repair people from which to choose for repairs. Budget David said he would send budgets from other condo complexes for the Board to review.
