Offers a Vaccine Clinic and no one will be turned away for inability to pay 2. Putting on AIRS- a program designed to target the reduction of environmental asthma triggers in you home. Free in home assessment 3. The Monroe Health Department works behind the scenes w/ various regional partners: Environmental Health- Septic systems, wells and food services in schools. Also, checking the community pools Community HealthNurse to schools Emergency Preparedness- Inspect the schools The Health Department can set ordinances. Mentioned a new rule she has implemented in Monroe. Food handlers need to get recertified every three years. We are one of two towns in CT to implement this.
