CCOA Executive Committee Conference Call December 6, 2016 10:00am-11:30am Meeting began at 10:00am - Review of Minutes-All Ruth Long motioned to approve the minutes, Jody Barker seconded the motion and the minutes were approved unanimously. - Annual Report Update Mindy Kemp provided an update that the changes requested at the last CCOA meeting were made to the annual report draft and the final version of the report is going through the Department’s clearance process. The annual report will be printed and copies will be available to Commissioners at the January meeting. - Allen Buckingham Event Debrief Ruth Long - Was a nice event, Marlene was an excellent recipient, but would have been nice to have more people there. Jody Barker– liked having the event at a senior center facility. - January Meeting Agenda setting Thursday Jan 26th Hyatt House in Belmar 9am-1pm Joint meeting with C4A Steve Grund suggested an agenda topic – 1 hour for sharing C4A and Commission information and what can we do for each other? Joe Urban – business acumen for AAAs? – Can someone from DRCOG present on what they are doing? Joe will ask Jayla at DRCOG about this. SAPGA Report – open discussion CityScape at Belmar 1pm-4pm CCOA meeting – committee reports, district reports, liaison reports Friday Jan 27th 9am-2pm CCOA meeting at CDHS 8th floor C-stat room Jody Barker has set up two speakers from Colorado Springs: Claire Anderson, Age Friendly presentation for Colorado Springs Jonathan Leibert, ED, Better Business Bureau Southern Colorado Mindy Kemp will talk with Peggy Spaulding and Lynn Robinson at Easter Seals if there is time for them on the agenda. - Other Business… set up for SAPGA call Steve Grund – would like to talk about the upcoming legislative session and the SAPGA report and the CAF The group discussed what would be the goal of writing a letter to support the SAPGA recommendations and who would the letter go to. The point was made that the CCOA supports what SAPGA has recommended as much of it was represented in the CAF. Meeting was adjourned at 11:15am
