BEAT THE ACT!

(Grades 10-12) Ruth Kivisto The ACT test has become a key factor in college admissions. This six-hour course is designed to familiarize students with fundamental techniques and strategies that are vital for understanding the test. Students will be taught content-specific strategies and will practice passages and questions in the four subject-area tests (English, Math, Reading, and Science). We discuss the format of the test so students know what to expect on test day. The ACT is a predictable test; so a few hours invested in learning the format and strategies used on the test is a great way to prepare! This class is presented in time for students to practice and prepare for the Dec. 10th national ACT test date. Please note: students are strongly encouraged to complete a full-length practice test (or have taken the actual ACT test) prior to taking this class.
