CITY OFOJAI RESOLUTION NO. 14-06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OJAI, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLIHING STANDARDS FOR STREET LIGHT LUMINARIES WHEREAS, Ordinance 825 establishing exterior lighting standards was adopted on August 27, 2013; and WHEREAS, the Ordinance is intended to enhance the ambience of the community by limiting unnecessary glare and light intrusion, and implementing "Dark Sky" principles; and WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company has adopted a policy of honoring customer preferences when replacing streetlight luminaries for maintenance purposes; and WHEREAS, The City Council desires to establish a standard for street light replacement that is consistenl with the principles of Ordinance 825. NOW, THEREFORE, THE OJAI CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AND AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The standard for street light luminaries in the City of Ojai shall be as follows: (a) Flat glass/full cut off luminaries shall be used for standard cobra head installations. (b) The Public Works Director may approve alternate decorative luminaries in special circumstances where appropriate to enhance community design.
