Importance of Grades • Handing in classwork and homework = good grades! • Colleges look at grades from freshman-junior years, so start out strong! • Student athletes and club members must maintain good grades to participate. • You will have to repeat the class if you fail a required class. • Time management is important. Practice now by staying current with learning and workload in 8 th grade.

OEHS School Day Schedule • School day: 7:20am-2:26pm • 8 class periods per day (including lunch) – – –
48 minutes in length 6 minutes per passing period 25 minutes for lunch + 25 minutes quiet study time
• 2 semesters per year • Space for 7 credits per year
• 22 credits minimum to graduate
• Classes may be worth 0.5 or 1.0 credit – 0.5 credit classes last 1 semester – 1.0 credit classes last 2 semesters
