Mosaic FAQ WHO Mosaic is open to all 6-8th graders in Bennington County. Homeschoolers and students from charter or independent schools are welcome. If you or someone you know is interested in attending a Mosaic class yourself, please contact the director for opportunities to get involved. WHAT Mosaic is a 21st Century Learning Center committed to fostering academic achievement, lifelong interest in the arts, recreation, and other areas of creativity through high-quality, after-school mentorship and support. We believe in treating students with mutual respect and hold fast to the belief that students learn the most when they are having the most fun. Our diverse and affordable classes are designed to meet the needs of our community and provide our youth a welcoming, safe space to express their individuality. WHEN Mosaic’s Spring session will run from 3/6/17 – 5/2/17. Classes run Monday through Thursday, beginning at 2:45pm. Students will collect their belongings, report to the Cafeteria and wait for their Mosaic program leaders to arrive. On Fridays, we host “Free Day Fridays’, an opportunity for students to participate in a rotating cast of activities at no fee. Check our Facebook for our weekly activity! WHERE Classes are held at MAUMS. Certain classes will require permission slips for field trips. These will be sent home with students during the first few weeks of program. WHY Because your kids deserve a chance to peruse their passions or try something new! Mosaic is a safe, stress-free environment for kids to learn what they want, how they want and at their own pace. Not to mention…. everyone learns better when they are having fun!

Program Information Time: Classes begin at 2:45pm M-Th. End times vary (see schedule below). Busses: 3:55p and 4:55p, provided by Green Mountain Express. *NOTE: This is not a regular school bus; Schedules and maps can be found online: http://www.greenmtncn.org/schedule.html Fee: Each class is $20 for the entire term. (For example, Sewing will cost $20 to enroll in all 12 weeks of the Spring term, -not- $20 per week). Checks should be made out to MAUMS Mosaic After School Programs Schedule: Spring Term will run from 3/6/17 – 5/2/17. Mosaic classes will follow the school day calendar. There will be no class on snow days or half-days. “Free Day Fridays”: Activities and teachers will change weekly on Fridays and students will have the opportunity to suggest ideas.
