Supernovas Welcome to the Supernovas Team! We are looking forward to another wonderful year and are especially  excited about meeting you. In order to help you be ready for the start of the new school year, we have  prepared a list of items you will need.     Required items:  ● One  ​ 1­inch​  binder (​ No​  extra­large binders – must fit in a locker)  ● Loose leaf notebook filler paper (maintain large supply throughout the year)  ● Blue, Black​  ink pens (​ No​  gel/ metallic/ neon/ fluorescent pens)  ● Red or Green​  correction pens  ● #2 pencils (also a supply of extra pencil erasers)  ● Small pencil sharpener (must fit in pouch)  ● One box of colored pencils and one box of magic markers (washable only)  ● One set of dry erase markers  ● Highlighters / Student safety scissors / Glue sticks / scissors /  bottle of Elmer's glue / post it notes  (any color)  ● Zippered pencil/supply pouch to keep in your binder  ● Four ​ Composition notebooks  ● Two ​ 2­pocket folders w/ 3 prongs  ● Lock​  for student locker (approved school lock w/ keyhole in back – from PTSA)  ● Ear buds and flash drive  ● Order Scholastic “Scope”magazine  ● The Outsiders​  by S.E. Hinton     Optional items:  ● Back pack / book bag (​ No​  extra large / ​ No​  framed / ​ No​  “Wheelie” book bags or back packs due to  the small size of the lockers)  ● Donations (We appreciate donations of the following items): boxes of tissues, hand sanitizer,  disinfectant wipes, paper towels, extra pencils/pencil erasers, extra notebook paper, dry erase  markers, reams of colored copy paper)     General information:​  Supernovas Team students should use a student assignment notebook/agenda as a  way to record homework and upcoming tests/projects. Combined with the teachers' homework web sites  and Powerschools, it is a wonderful way for parents to keep up with what their children are doing and what is  looming in the future! There is no such thing as a “Surprise” test or project. Students are expected to be  responsible and always report to their classes with paper, pencils/pens, and assigned homework  assignments. Always be prepared for success!
