All the SENEMRC members need to complete the Update Form and print off their Certificates for badging purposes. (An Update Form is included with these minutes.) New Business: Kurt stated that the Cornhusker State Games are begging for help and would like for the SENEMRC to help. They have their hierarchy of list of events which will be going to companies/corporations first for their respective possible donations. Those members who sign up to help with events will be expected to follow through with being committed to helping with the event(s) even though the weather may very well be hot and humid. Beth will let Kristin know when the next meeting is. Bruce added that he has three articles and the next articles, May on, need to be submitted to Karen Brightenberg for submission. They should be seasonal in nature. At 10:55, the Operational Safety and training on Developmental Disabilities was held. One of major points of this training is to treat the person. Kneel to their physical level on the ground, “simplify down” what you are doing for them, do not “dumb it down”.
