February, 2015 Greetings from Cameroon! After conducting close to 40 meetings and traveling tens of thousands of miles through about half the states of the Union, our family is glad to be back in our own familiar home here in Cameroon. The trip back was eventful, but successful. The transatlantic flight was exceptionally turbulent, and a couple of the kids got sick. Our layover in Paris was extended, which did not permit us our planned night’s rest in Yaoundé before driving to our home the next day. Instead, we left Chattanooga Wednesday morning and arrived home Friday evening without any opportunity to pillow our heads. Thankfully, the kids managed to sleep a little on the floor of the Paris airport. The good news was that when we arrived in Cameroon, all our bags were present and accounted for! That is a huge answer to prayer. Thank you for your faithful prayers during our time of ministry and travels in the United States. God has blessed us with several new supporters. Last year, we lost about $460 in monthly support. By the grace of God, we were able to raise this amount and more during our time in the States. Our current support level now stands at 95.8%! We thank Jehovah-Jireh for His faithfulness. Even though we just arrived back, we have hit the ground running. A couple of people have already requested discipleship studies. We thank God for those saved and baptized under the ministry of Jim and Myra Wright during our absence. Yesterday, Andrew and I had the wonderful privilege of visiting a local military base with a fellow missionary and a couple of national men. This base is training anti-terrorist Special Forces to fight against the Boko Haram along the northern borders of Cameroon. Hundreds have already been killed in this conflict. Of the 400 men preached to yesterday morning, there was a real awareness that some of them might not be coming home. At least five soldiers professed Christ as Savior after the preaching of the Gospel, and all the soldiers and officers were given Scripture portions to take with them as encouragement and comfort. Please pray for the villages of Jakiri and Meluf. We are scheduled to formerly survey these villages during the month of March. Many have been saved already, and one man has offered his home to us as a place to begin weekly Bible studies. We are praying that some of the men in our Bible college will take up the labors of these wide open doors of opportunity, and that God would allow disciples in these villages to eventually lead and form local churches. Finally, please pray for Becca and the kids as they get back to their school books. Home education was nearly impossible in the States. Please pray that the children will be diligent with their studies and that they will quickly get caught up. Thank you all for your faithful partnership with our family here in Cameroon.
