On behalf of Cognizance Indian Institute of Technology (Roorkee) & Revert technology Pvt. Ltd. India as the host of this championship, it gives us great pleasure to introduce RoboFeast-2015, a National QuadCopter(UAV Robot) Championship to be held at IIT(Roorkee). RoboFeast-2015 is sponsored & funded by India’s most prestigious company, Revert Technology Pvt. Ltd. RoboFeast-2015 will bring students from all over the country together to participate in the celebration of knowledge and creative extravagance along with experts from the fields of academic as well as industry. With technological innovation scaling new heights, RoboFeast-2015 promises to keep a tab on the advancements and stay in sync with the mood of the times. With the introduction of several new events, and old ones remodeled, RoboFeast-2015 is all set to create a new benchmark. This year we are organizing RoboFeast-2015 a National Level QuadCopter(UAV Robot) Championship in association with Cognizance IIT (Roorkee). We are organizing Zonal Rounds of RoboFeast-2015 in only selected Engineering Colleges all across India. So we are looking forward to make your esteemed college as Zonal Center for this event. About The RoboFeast-2015 RoboFeast-2015 is a National QuadCopter Championship & Workshop series jointed by Cognizance IIT-Roorkee & Revert Technology . All the preliminary rounds will be held at only selected Zonal Centers across India in present academic year & the grand finale will be at IIT-Roorkee under the banner of National QuadCopter Championship. This is a 3 Stage Event as detailed below:

Initial Round (To be held at Zonal Centers):  Competitions will be held at different Zonal centers in all over India though Workshop on QuadCopter. 

All the participants who want to participate in RoboFeast-2015 are required to attend the workshops at any zonal centers.



During the workshop QuadCopter Kit will be provided only for hand on session.



The duration of the workshop will be of 2 Days (7-8hr each day).

Second Round (Zonal Round to be held at zonal center):  Just after completion workshop a Mega Competition (Prelims Rounds) of by RoboFeast-2015 will be held in college.  Winners will be awarded with Certificate of Merit & are required to participate in Final Rounds which will be held on 27-29th march 2015 at IIT-Roorkee

Third Round (FINAL Round to be held at IIT-Roorkee):  Winners of zonal centers will be called to participate in the biggest final round of RoboFeast-2015 will be on 27-29th march 2015 at IIT-Roorkee.  Top 3 Teams will be awarded as winners of The RoboFeast-2015 championship & will be awarded & honored by Cognizance IIT-Roorkee.

Process guidelines for Zonal Center  We want your association to make this event a big success in your college.  Make the confirmation letter on college letter head & send a scan copy of letter by mail. first-come-first-served policy will be followed for RoboFeast-2015 centers  A proper publicity will be done about the event at the All India Level.  Zonal center can be finalized by telephonic conversation with Coordinators of RoboFeast-2015, according to the College feasibility and slots available in our calendar.  The entire event will be conducted at college campus.  Each student participating in the RoboFeast-2015 will get a participation certificate with RoboFeast-2015 IIT-R

Requirements for Zonal Center  Seminar hall/classroom having the enough capacity to conduct hands-on-session for all participants.  Good Quality public address system ideally two cordless mikes will be required. 

Projector/ Screen along with black/white board for teaching and presentation purposes.



One small stereo jack cord connect to laptop for its sound system.

 This Zonal center can only be arranged for a minimum of 60 students

Responsibility of an Organizer  Hospitality (2 days) for a team of 3-4 members.  Pick and Drop facility from the nearest railway station/bus stop/ airport.

Certification Policy Robofeast-2015  Certificate of Participation from RoboFeast-2015 (Cognizance) IIT-Roorkee to each participant  Certificate of Coordination from RoboFeast-2015 (Cognizance) IIT-Roorkee for all of the coordinators  Zonal Winners will participate in Final Rounds at IIT-Roorkee. & Get Certificate of Merit Student from RoboFeast2015 & Cognizance IIT-Roorkee to each Merit Student.

What is this workshop about? Quadcopter, also called a Quadrotor helicopter, is a rotary-wing aircraft with four rotors which has marked its interests for the benefit of both civil and military domains. Its amazing maneuverability and the ease to fly in constricted locations have achieved itself a remarkable position in the aviation sector. Our workshop helps participants understand the concepts and use of accelerometer sensor, microcontrollers and wireless communication in designing and controlling a Quadcopter. 1. Theoretical Session

Course Outcomes     

Introduction to Rotary-wing aircraft Introduction to design and development of Multi Rotor Vehicles Understanding the Electronics circuitry involved in Quadrotor Learning about the working of accelerometer sensors, gyroscopes and controllers Hands-on experience for participants with DC motors, electronic speed controllers and Quadcopter Embedded control board

Course structure and Topics covered:     

Understanding rotary-wing aircraft and their Dynamics Exposure to Design and concepts of Embedded Systems behind Multicopters Fabrication of Quadcopter frame and its circuit Calibration and Testing of the developed Quadcopter Quadcopter Flying using Radio Control and competition

Registration charges  Registration Charges Rs.1250 per participant only. QuadCopter Kit will be given for training purpose. It is not take away. Students can purchase QuadCopter kit after the workshop on discounted price.  The fee includes workshop training, certification, and Event registration.
