Subject: Non redressal of grievance Request ID: 130002179 by Branch Manager and e-mail address of regional nodal Officer disclosed in website is not working. Respected Sir, As there is deficiency in service of IOB, Saidapet Branch; employees refusing to accept the deposit due slight more work than ordinary deposits. And it was already informed to Branch Manager on the same day, which has to be redressed within 7 days as per http://www.iob.in/Grievances_Redressal_mechanism.aspx. But still my Request ID: 130002179 was not attended by Branch Manager. So I tried to approach Regional Nodal Officers for redressal, but there e-mail address disclosed in (http://www.iob.in/uploads/CEDocuments/ RegionalNodalofficerason0702.pdf) . IOB claims that e-mail it is enough for redressal but it is also not working. The detailed facts of the case is already attached with this mail, dated: Sep 18, 2013. By hoping your email address works well, I request you to warn the employees of IOB, Saidapet Branch to not to refuse any deposits authorised by IOB. And also pay me a compensation of Rs. 1000 for the deficiency in service of IOB. Failure to comply will attract the liability under 8(g), 8(r), 8(s), 8(u) of The Banking Ombudsman Scheme, 2006 and THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1986. Thanks & Regards S. Respected Sir, On 24/08/2013 at about 11 AM to 12 AM, I went to pay fee for University of Madras in A/c no. 179101000001791. There is no token so I stand in queue after the advice of security but the said queue is for passbook entry only. So I stand in another long queue, were the teller told me a silly reason that the machine is not working, so the fee can't be payed. After I insisted he told me to ask Mr. Swaminathan, whether he can accept the fee. Finally a kind staff (North Indian) told me to stand in earliest queue (passbook queue). So I stood there for some time and then insisted him than I have been waiting for a long time for there deficiency in service. Then he discussed with someone (who might be Mr. Swaminathan) and the staff advised me (as per the instruction he received) to pay in other banks due to server problem of IOB. CCTV footage might help as evidence in these case. If IOB not not ready to accept the University of Madras fee, why did they open account for that purpose. If you are legally eligible to do it, why don't you people hang a board in front of IOB that "We don't accept the fee but accept other deposits". Here the Teller and Swaminathan have refused to provide their service to customer by telling lies and silly reasons. In the same bank and in the same branch itself other are depositing the money. And in other branches IOB accepted the deposit of fees in the same day itself. If really there is a server problem then both of them are not possible. Complaint in then regard has been already filed in Standardised Public Grievances Redressal System, Request ID: 130002179. But no redressal steps has been taken by Branch Manager. So I kindly request you to redress my complaint by taking necessary action against the person responsible for deficiency in service and to pay compensation/damages of Rs. 1000 (One Thousand) in cheque. In case of failure to do so, I have no other option redress through Banking Ombudsman / Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in the final stage. Thanking you, Yours Truly, S. Alexraj
