Sparkle Empowerment Program for Girls is a social program under Talented Youth Development, Inc. whose purpose is to develop middle and high school aged girl’s leadership qualities, encourage volunteerism, and uplifts self-esteem while exposing participants to philanthropy and educational opportunities.
To be considered for membership into Sparkle, the following documents must be submitted: 1. Complete the official Sparkle application available for download at www.TYDI.org

2. A letter of interest from applicant Mentor Appreciation Lunch
3. A letter of recommendation written by a school administrator, or school counselor, or teacher 4. A letter of personal reference by a mentor or person who knows the applicant well The girls are encouraged to seek out leadership positions within the organization and at school; engage in various workshops which expand their minds, future, and personal comfort zones; meet with female professionals to discuss possible college and career paths; meet with college professors and participate in college recruitment and programs and events. They are required to participate in community service, attend seminars/conferences annually, manage and execute fundraisers, and other fun activities and events. There are no annual dues for membership.
5. A copy of the students most recent report card All materials should be submitted in one packet and mailed by the deadline on the website for consideration. Electronic copies will not be accepted. Please send materials to the address on the front of this pamphlet. If you are not yet eligible to apply, please join our mailing list on www.TYDI.org for future consideration and to stay updated on events and activities.
