OPENING A NEW MOISHE HOUSE IN THE TWIN CITIES!
Moishe House is looking for 3 - 5 dynamic young adults between the ages of 22 - 30 to live together and launch Moishe House Twin Cities! Moishe House residents will host 5+ diverse programs each month and create a welcoming space for the Jewish young adult network of Minnesota. Program examples include Shabbat dinners, yoga practices, Havdalah house parties, tikkun olam projects and much much more. The residents will ultimately choose the location of their house, in a central location close to hot spots for young adults. Moishe House provides a generous rent subsidy, program budget and training. Qualified residents may come from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds and should be passionate about creating a unique Jewish community. We encourage groups of potential residents to apply together. ABOUT MOISHE HOUSE Founded in 2006, Moishe House started when four Jewish 20somethings began hosting Shabbat dinners in Oakland, California, for their friends and networks. Moishe House was originally part of a private foundation, but transitioned into an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization when the economic recession hit in 2008.
Through the support of several early funders and snowballing interest from young adults and their Jewish communities, Moishe House has become the global leader of pluralistic Jewish life for young adults. With 85 houses in 21 countries, Our innovative model trains, supports and empowers young Jewish leaders as they create meaningful experiences in their local
communities for themselves and their peers. Our approach is becoming an increasingly recognized avenue for young adult engagement that is scalable and easily replicated. On an annual basis, our young adult leaders are engaging 92,000+ in total attendance through 5,700+ unique programs.
