BICYCLE SAFETY The north parking lot is heavily used by carpool parents. It is important for student safety that bicycles not be ridden in the area of vehicular traffic.

When arriving each morning – Students who ride their bikes to school are requested to enter the North Parking lot using the following procedure: Upon entering the lot, stay to the left (playground side). Get off the bike and walk it along the grassy perimeter (playground side).

At dismissal each afternoon – Follow the same procedure in reverse, always remaining on the playground perimeter side. Students or parents with questions may stop by or call the school office.

To give permission for your child(ren) to either walk or ride a bike to and/or from school, please download and print the permission slip that is on the following page. Complete and return the permission slip to the School Office annually.

Dear Parents, In the interest of student safety, we request that the below permission slip be completed and returned to the school office for any child that walks or rides his/her bicycle to school on a regular or occasional basis. Our purpose is to assure that parents are aware that a student is walking to school or that a bicycle is being ridden and that the child may or may not be going directly home after dismissal. Your signature assures us that you and your child have discussed your family’s rules for walking and bicycle transportation. Walking and biking safety rules are available for review in the Student/Parent Handbook. Please be sure to familiarize yourself and your child(ren) about these school rules.
