High School of Business
Program Description
FBLA
High School of Business is designed much like a college business administration program. Students incorporate High School of Business into a college-preparatory style course of study, resulting in the delivery of a breadth of academic knowledge that is then used in rigorous business-focused projects. The program design allows students to start their freshman year with an introductory course where they can earn their required Personal Finance credit and conclude with the capstone course, Business Strategies, which requires implementation of the principles addressed throughout the High School of Business program. This program positions students for success in the areas of business administration.
Quote “NRTC Business classes have prepared me for college and work. I have gained valuable leadership skills throughout my 3 years of attending NRTC. I am better prepared for my future.” Ragan Forkner-Senior
Advanced Computer Applications Dual Credit with Crowder College Students are introduced to word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation applications. Learning is enhanced through the use of current business software and hands-on experience with PC-compatible computers. Students must have access to the version of Microsoft Office. Did you know that more high school grads major in business than any other college major? Through High School of Business™, students work to solve real business projects and problems, much as they will in college and at work. It’s challenging work, but the hands-on creativity required to complete the projects make it fun, too.
