Rooted in the Red River Valley of the North, American Crystal’s success is largely due to the people and communities within its core operating geography. For this reason, and many others, American Crystal is delighted to annually fund 49 scholarships for graduating seniors of area high schools attending technical or vocational schools. General Scholarship Requirements: The $500 scholarship funded by American Crystal is intended to be awarded to a well-rounded graduating high school senior pursuing a technical school education in one or more of the following fields of study: 1. Science 2. Agriculture 3. Engineering 4. Mathematics 5. Technology Additional Requirements: Please list on a separate sheet of paper 1. Essay (See below) 2. State your intended area of study 3. State your overall GPA (Must have 2.5 or greater to be considered) 4. List your extra-curricular activities 5. List your community service/volunteerism activities Essay Information: 1. Why are you deserving of American Crystal’s scholarship? 2. Briefly outline your technical school and career aspirations. 3. Add additional information you feel may be relevant. Recipient Selection: Each area high school will form a scholarship selection committee to review the applicants and select the recipient. There will be one technical school scholarship recipient per high school. American Crystal will issue scholarship award checks directly to the student. The checks will be made out the student and the school they will be attending in mid-summer.
