Tournament Rules • Tournament will be carried out according to the rules of Badminton Scotland including the prohibition of doping which may be carried out. • Feather shuttlecocks will be used. The tournament will be played in pools. Format based on entry size: o Pools followed by elimination o Round Robin may be played in an event if there is a small entry (no consolation plate) • The committee reserves the right to make any changes necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament • Players absent when called upon to play may be scratched. • Players should inform the desk if they leave the hall or are unable to play. • A separate entry form must be used by each player and no player will be accepted for a Doubles Event unless Entry Forms have been received from each player. If you require a partner then the organiser will match up where possible; if there is no available partner refunds will be given on day. • Late entries may only be accepted at the discretion of the Tournament organiser • Players must advise the Referee on arrival at the Championships if they do not wish to be included in official photographs which may be taken by the tournament organisers. • Neither the Orkney Badminton Association, nor Pickaquoy Centre will be under any liability in respect of any personal loss or injury. Competitors are responsible for arranging cover if required. • They should be accompanied by the appropriate entry fees and should arrive no later than closing date stated above. Please inform the tournament organiser of any withdrawals – contact details above. If using mobile no. on the day of tournament it would be better to text.
