PROVINCIAL COORDINATOR – RURAL DEVELOPMENT (LIMPOPO)
JOB PURPOSE
To coordinate rural development functions.
ROLE CONTEXT
Coordinating and monitoring of rural development functions requires a thorough understanding of administration of learning programmes and rural development environment and its objectives.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS / ACTIONS
Coordinate applications for approval. Verify that application is supported by appropriate documentation Ensure that all requests are forwarded for approval to the Skills Delivery Evaluation Committee. Manage upload of all approved projects to project module. Participate in the evaluation of applications to provide input. Oversee, the generation, distribution and receiving of contracts for signature by CEO and applicant. Provide feedback on application status. Ensure that signed contracts are received and filed in appropriate files. Follow up on outstanding contracts. File all project related documents in accordance with AgriSETA policy. Retain copies of all invoices, claim sheets and financial related documents. Record all incoming and outgoing correspondence. Coordinate all project related trips and meetings. Place order for stationery and related resources.

Implementation o Receive invoices and process for payment. o Ensure that learner information is provided and correctly captured and stipends are paid. Admin o Receive all travel claims and all related documents from project staff, conduct a due diligence check and recommend payments. o Monitor the spending of the admin budget and notify of over expenditure against projections. o Update admin budget on project module. Monitor monthly provincial plans. Receive enquiries and ensure that they are addressed by responsible staff member. Visit provincial offices to give admin related support. Compile reports of such visits giving findings regarding the state of administration in provinces. Give recommended corrective measures. Research new ways and means to ensure Provincial Staff admin efficiency and give recommendations. Compile quarterly / monthly implementation reports and draw down requests. Consolidate montly provincial reports. Submit monthly consolidated reports to Manager. Generate monthly reports on contracted, commited and balanced amounts against approved project budget. Respond to requests from internal and external auditors. Compile relevant statistics for inclusion in appropriate reports when required. Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

NQF 5 3 years related experience Knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to Rural Development Project management skills Organisational skills Computer Literacy Communication skills Professionalism
