CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND EMERGENCY PLAN (EBC) The District will maintain procedures to reduce the risk to students during a crisis or emergency. The Superintendent, or his/her designee, will develop and implement a crisis management and emergency plan that may include, but is not limited to, responding to a fire, tornado, bomb, threat of violence, epidemic, terrorist act, or an interruption of utilities. The plan will include critical incident debriefing to evaluate District actions for future implementation. The crisis management and emergency plan will be on file in each building. Staff will be trained in the plan’s implementation. Students and parents will be instructed about the plan’s details to the extent deemed prudent. The District will coordinate the crisis management and emergency plan with the appropriate community organizations, local emergency service providers (e.g., fire department, ambulance service, hospital), and law enforcement agencies (e.g., police department, sheriff’s office).
