Deepen your relationship with God during Lent
A special thank you for those who adopted a stacon in 2016. If you wish to adopt a stacon for 2017 please contact the office. This would be a great family project for Lent. The cme effort is about 15-30 minutes a month. The effort includes keeping the stacon looking cdy and neat.

Though prayer is one of the essencals of a thriving faith, we ofen feel as if we’re talking to ourselves—or, worse, as if we’re talking to no one at all. How can something so vital to the Faith be so elusive? Now, with the clear teaching and arcstry of the Auguscne Insctute's Lecco series, Dr. Tim Gray masterfully uses the discipline of Lecco Divina to show you how to make prayer an effeccve effort of love and incmacy. In six video sessions, Prayer: Finding Incmacy with God captures the secret to opening our hearts and minds to Scripture as the means to hear from God and then respond in conversacon, basking in his presence and resolving to live in and through his love. BOOK GROUP ‘READING THE KORAN'
Vashon Lutheran Church and the Vashon Ecumenical Book Club are sponsoring "Reading the Koran", a class with Pastor Ron Marshall from First Lutheran Church of West SeaTle. The class will take place on Vashon on the first four Thursdays of March, beginning March 2nd, from 7:00-9:00 pm, meecng at Vashon Lutheran Church. Cost is $50.00 which includes a copy of the Koran, worksheets and numerous handouts about approaches to reading the Koran. Although this class is in no way a mulc-cultural aTempt to blend different faiths, neither is it an opportunity to Islam-bash. Says Pastor Marshall: "What I do is provide eight worksheets with some twenty-five quescons on each one, asking about a parccular verse from the Qur'an.
