DIVINE MERCY ROAST

You and yours are invited to a tradieonal 'cordero al asador' goat spit roast. We'll gather at 2:30 to watch the final stages of the roast, taking it off the fire at 3 to rest while we pray/chant the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Then we'll carve and serve the meal at 3:30 or 4pm. We'll be roaseng all day; come when you can. Meat and flatbread will be provided. Appeezers, side-dishes, desserts and drinks will be potluck style, so bring your favorite dish. Hopefully weather will permit outdoor play of all kinds. All are welcome. Bring your friends and family and celebrate this 2nd Sunday of Easter with us.

On Saturday, April 22, Backpack Pantry and PTSA are sponsoring a Fun Run for children. We have been asked to bake cookies for the kids for the event. We are expeceng a good turn out, and knowing kids' relaeonship with cookies, the need is significant. Will you please bake some cookies for the event? They can be brought to the church on Friday, April 21, unel Noon or between 5:00 and 6:30 PM, that evening or to the high school track by 9:30 AM on the 22nd. Catholic Relief Services Parish Ambassador Corps

The Missions Office is invieng us to parecipate in a new Catholic Relief Services inieaeve called the Parish Ambassador Corps (PAC). PAC is a corps of local Catholic volunteers who are passionate about global solidarity and want to take aceon. CRS ambassadors receive formaeon on the spiritual roots of our call to care for those in need during two trainings. Parecipants then become part of a naeonwide CRS Ambassador community, sharing encouragement, prayer and resources. Trained and equipped, Ambassadors commit to helping support global solidarity efforts in their parishes. They help with Rice Bowl as well as two other inieaeves over the course of the year. Are you commiTed to inspiring others, as disciples of Jesus Christ, to put the teachings of the Church into pracece on a global level? is forming for the upcoming mowing season. If you are available every other Friday from 9:30-12 please join us. If you are apprehensive using a riding mower we will help you overcome that fear. PAUL GUEDET - REST IN PEACE

Parishioner Paul Guedet passed away very early on Monday, April 16th. There will be a funeral Mass on Thursday, April 27th at 11:00am here at St. John Vianney followed by a recepeon in the social hall. Please keep the repose of his soul and his wife, Laurie, in your prayers.
