Academic Careers Skills Development Programme Call for registrations

New Generation Centre UK is launching a career skills development programme free of charge for Hungarians who are currently studying towards their PhDs in any discipline either in the United Kingdom, in Germany, or in Hungary, and who aim to pursue a research career. The programme will be delivered in English in a webinar format. It can accommodate 30 participants, ideally 15 PhDs studying in the UK, 10 studying in Hungary and 5 studying in Germany. From October 2017 to March 2018, registered participants will attend 6 webinars, one each month, delivered by a different expert. The webinars will address topics key to building a successful research career. In addition to the lectures, once a month, participants will gather for a peer mentoring group webinar.

Travel costs will be covered by the organisers. Furthermore, thanks so our collaboration with the Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Students, 6 participants will have an opportunity to attend the ’Tavaszi Szél’ research conference in the spring of 2018 and introduce his or her research topic to a wider audience.
