All instructors must meet both NACEP and North Central Association – Higher Learning Commission (HLC) credentials.

Course standards for curriculum content and rigor match the same course offered on the A-State Jonesboro campus.
The A-State Concurrent Program provides: Early access to college level courses. The courses are the same as those offered in the traditional college course. The learning outcomes, curriculum, evaluations, and assessments are the same as the traditional college course.
Courses require the same rigor and performance as traditional college course. Dual credit – both high school and college credit for successful completion of the course.

Concurrent Enrollment is Official A-State Enrollment Course grades are entered on an official A-State transcript which is transferable to other colleges. Grade is based on course performance rather than a single test score. Student is responsible for meeting all A-State requirements in terms of academic policies and procedures.

Admission Guidelines Student must present ACT (or equivalent*) scores for admission. ACT Composite Score = 19 or above ACT Reading Subtest Score = 19 or above
ACT Math Subtest Score = 19 or above (math enrollment) ACT English Subtest Score = 19 or above (English enrollment)
*Equivalency scores available from the high school counselor.

When Notified of Admission Student will receive a letter at permanent address. If there are problems with the application, the student will be notified using the personal email address supplied on the application.
Once admitted, activate the A-State ID account by using these directions. 1. Go to http://www.astate.edu 2. Click on Current Student 3. Under “most popular links,” click on Get Your ID Number and Pin. 4. Use your Social Security number and your birthdate information to enter the system. 5. Activate Your A-State Email A-State uses email as the official communication tool. You will receive IMPORTANT emails from various departments on campus, including your instructor, that must be checked daily.

Registration Procedure Student and the Parent/Guardian MUST complete the official online registration form. https://webapps.astate.edu/concurrent/application.php
The registration form includes information on A-State policies and procedures and must be digitally signed by both the student and the parent/guardian. Students will be officially registered for the course by the A-State Concurrent Program staff or through instructions provided by the high school counselor. AState.edu

Tuition Concurrent course tuition is $40 per credit hour. Most classes are 3-hour courses.
Required textbooks and/or software are provided by the partnering school district.

Tuition Billing Students may access their tuition bill by using the Banner Self-Service icon available through the My Campus login. (www.astate.edu) Click on the “my campus” tab at the top of the page. An email will be sent to the student’s email address after the student is officially registered for the course(s) with tuition information. AState.edu

Scholarship Questions
Concurrent courses are transcribed as official A-State courses. Concurrent courses are calculated into the A-State grade point average. Students entering A-State are considered true freshmen even with concurrent credit hours, and as such, still qualify for all first-time freshman scholarships.

Scholarship Questions
A-State Scholarships do not consider concurrent GPA in the offering of freshmen scholarships. However, concurrent GPA is considered as part of the scholarship renewal process since it part of the official A-State transcript. Scholarship deadlines are December 1 each year. Please check the A-State website or call the Financial Aid Office at 870.972.2310 to assure all documentation is submitted by the deadline. AState.edu
