AMMAR HINDI Managing Director, Asia Pacific Sourcefire, now a part of Cisco Ammar Hindi is Managing Director of Asia Pacific operations for Sourcefire, now a part of Cisco. In this position he is responsible for corporate operations across the region, including sales, business development and strategic marketing activities. Hindi joined the company in June 2009 bringing nearly 20 years of experience in sales and management positions launching Asia Pacific business initiatives.

Before joining Sourcefire, Hindi was the managing director for Asia Pacific operations at Ipanema Technologies, where he developed and executed the sales and marketing strategy to launch the company’s presence in Australia, Southeast Asia, and Japan. Previously, he served as managing director for Asia Pacific operations at Micromuse (Nasdaq: MUSE) where he expanded operations into the regional telecommunications and finance industries. During his nearly six-year tenure, he is credited with establishing the company’s presence in Asia Pacific including establishing offices throughout the region; recruiting sales, technical, and finance personnel; and developing an extensive channel for selling the Micromuse product and services. Prior to that, Hindi held sales management positions with BMC Software and Sybase.

Hindi graduated with a B.S. from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Hult International Business School.
