The mobile revolution has reached Sri Lanka. But, up until now, the country’s mobile users have not had access to news relevant to them in their own language. Sri Lankan news app Mogo Reader is about to change all of that. Developed for Android and available on Google Play, Mogo Reader offers categorized, localized news. It’s the first service of its kind for Sri Lanka. Mogo Reader’s creators are banking on its potential as only the first step in an Asiawide enterprise with enormous potential. Mogo Reader was built in the Google Cloud using Android. Vimukthi Liyanage, Co-Founder and CEO of Mogo Reader, is a trained developer who has used his knowledge and resources to capitalize on the mobile revolution. He lives and breathes Google Analytics and uses his understanding of Analytics to monitor user behaviour and see what needs to be improved and what needs adding. Vimukthi and his partner Shameera have secured impressive venture capital funding to help realize their vision.
