Mentored by Rob Warneke and Troy Faulkner of the Byron High School Math Department, winners of the Intel Schools of Distinction Award for innovation. Actively tracked common assessment data, engaged in the math PLC, developed reverse classroom lessons, and developed a new project-based statistics course aligned to AP content standards.

Served as teacher, curriculum designer, and co-founder of Saturday engineering program for Boston minority high school students. Co-developed and delivered semester courses in electrical engineering and mechanical design.
SENIOR CAPSTONE PROJECT WITH AUTODESK

Designed an electronic learning system for professional CAD software (Autodesk Inventor) in a team of six students in collaboration with Autodesk, Inc. The system uses motivating game mechanics to encourage product exploration and visualize progress. The design was targeted at high school and college students as a way to expand the product’s user base.

Co-designed and developed a web-based software application to enhance online collaboration for teams of students. Roles included programming, visiting users and schools, designing mock-ups, presenting at conferences presentations, incorporating, and hiring interns.

Expanded widget framework to IBM’s webmail client (iNotes). Co-led team to prototype and pitch the idea weekly to IBMers. Persuaded management to assign future resources to the full development of the concept.

Researched condensed teacher training programs (such as Teach For America’s summer program), taught a short teachertraining course to Olin students, and created a public wiki to share results of interviews, curriculum ideas, and my synthesis of rapid teacher training programs.
