The Art Nouveau movement left its mark on the art world The idea that items should be decorative as well as utilitarian still exists Many of the Art Nouveau architecture still exists Paved the way for the other modern art movements

Controversies
Started as an underground movement, mostly popular with youth Was soon accepted by the Bourgeoisie This led to a backlash by the members of the underground community Antoni Gaudi also had controversies surrounding him He did make blue prints, so his early death left many of his works unfinished 10
